The Registration Process
1. Go to www.survivorschat.com/register and then click on the “Register your chat name” then on “Register Name/Update Password”.
2. Then put in the nickname you want to password protect, your name and a valid e-mail address so the password can be sent to you.
3. Very shortly an activation email will be sent to the email address that is supplied. Depending on your e-mail account, this may end up in your junk mail/spam folder so please check there as well. You must then click the link within the email to validate your e-mail account and to activate your member name.
4. Once the validation process has been completed you will receive another e-mail that confirms that your name has been registered. The registration confirmation e-mail contains the member name you chose and the password Parachat has given you.
5. You can use the password Parachat has sent or change it to something easier to remember. If you have left the Parachat pages, you can get back to this the same way as before through “Register your chat name”, “Register Name/Update Password” then click on the “Log-in to change settings" option. Put in your details then click on “Log-in to change settings". Over on the left then click on “Change password”, fill in the form with your old and new password and Parachat should e-mail you (yet again!) to let you know it has been successful.
6. Come chat! When you enter your nickname a box will come up asking you for your password, I think that it is case sensitive so please make sure you use capitals/lower case letters where needed. Please note that the Parachat database will update changed passwords every 5 minutes so please be patient if it will not let you log in at first.
Issues:
If you have been sent a password already or have tried to change yours but you can not get into the chat rooms with it please first go to back to the “Register your chat name” page at www.survivorschat.com/register. Then click on “Register Name/Update Password” and then on “Forgot your password?”. Put in your chat nickname and Parachat should resend you the details. If they are different to what you have used before try these new ones.
If you still have issues logging in with your name or with any other step in the registration process then please e-mail us at: admin@survivorschat.com with your nickname, what step you have got to and any error messages that come up when you try to log into the chat rooms. Please do not send any passwords to us that you have been given.
Please be aware that if you do not log into the chat rooms for over 2 months with the name you registered it will be deleted from our database to allow others to use it.
